    Lineage and selective breeding

There have been a number of people I have actually told "If you aren't looking to spend a lot but you want high white genetics, buy a lesser white sibling." I did this myself and it worked out fantastically. I know this has worked for a couple others that have bought a lesser white animal from...

    Pastel Lines

This is pretty much it. In her tank, she usually looks white. I have mistaken her head for eggs many times. Fired up she has hints of lime (like you can see) and very very very light pink.

    Pastel Lines

Here's my main "pastel" female. Posted it in the other thread but figured I'd bring it to this one as well.

I know Michael linked a thread above. This girl is my best example in my collection of what I consider "pastel".

    Cage aggression

In my experience so far, it is really kind of a crap shoot... Example: I have one male here on loan for 2 years now who was sweet as could be. Easy to handle and always completely calm. (Even the two past people who had him said he was one of their sweetest.) Well...let me tell ya. Ever since I...

    Pastel Lines

I would say almost fully fired. The black gets a tad more black..but other than that.

    Egg incubation time

I think as long as it is gradual enough, you are fine. It's when the temps really jump and hit over 85+ you'll have some issues. Our old apartment used to get insanely hot (90s) and there was nothing we could do about it. That resulted in eggs failing (cresteds moreso than chahoua). The more...

Pictures: Your Holdbacks from the 2018 Breeding Season

I haven't taken too many photos lately. But this is my favorite male from 2018. Ducati!

    Gecko Laying Habits

This might be a poor title, but I was curious to see what other people's experiences were with egg boxes vs where they lay in their tanks. As a person that does not use lay boxes, I have had geckos lay anywhere and everywhere. Certain geckos had specific spots they tend to gravitate toward...

Feeding Larger Live Prey Items - Pinkies, Other Geckos, etc.

I tried feeding a failing e. vieillardi or agricolae once to a chahoua... (can't remember which). It was deformed so I figured..well, maybe the chahoua would like it? Yeah, that was a mistake. The viellardi/agri baby decided to squirt that juice out of its tail and that didn't taste good...

    Egg incubation time

I think it is also that given a longer period of time, more things could potentially go wrong. Not that they WILL go wrong, but a temperature spike or power outage or who knows what can cause them to fail. I haven't had the water issue, but the incubating material I use is never soaking wet...

Picture Thread: Your Favorite Breeding Pairs for the 2019 Season

    Egg cutting

A fun test I like to run is the "squish" test. This may just be my experience, but when eggs are getting close the shell starts to give a bit. After about two weeks from the initial "squishiness", the egg shell has a decent bit of give and you will notice it get moreso over time. Usually I know...

    Screen Cages

I think the biggest issue with screen cages is the rust over time. I know the tops of my cages have needed to be replaced or rusted after a while. A misting system in the screen cages may be another issue if the surrounding area is not water proof. Water everywhere, yay!

    Pastel Lines

I know there is some debate about "pastel" chahoua. But so far I am happy with how light this line has been. Here are some lovely cell phone pictures. :P
